My thanks to so many of you for your help and for the cards and gifts as well. It made me so happy to see so many kids having fun and to hear them singing! If you have any pictures or videos you would like to share, feel free to do so on our facebook page or send me a note and we'll figure out how to do it.

Dear Kid's Night families,

First off, thanks to those of you who have invited friends to our kids night, we need to keep the numbers up. And if you see a kids night post on the Facebook MHM page, please take a moment to comment to bump the post back up, thanks!

Thanks so much for all your replies to my earlier party inquiry and for all your offers to help . It looks like its a go! Please don't feel like you have to help in order to partake. Or that you have to do a lot if you do help. If enough people share the load, it will be light.

Now i need to figure out how to make the list so people can see it and we don't get a lot of one thing and not enough of another. But i will say that based on the past parties:
we usually plan on:

• 3 or 4 dozen unfrosted cupcakes
• 3 or 4 dozen cookies that are big enough to be frosted and topped.,
• then of course some frosting
• and then some toppings

I will go through your responses and see what we have and what we still need. I will then post the list (I'll let you know when and where i post it) so you can check what i think you're bring and and what we still need. Contact me to update the list.

The toppings and frostings, if need be, we can run next door and get that night, so the most important thing is coordinating the cupcakes and cookies

PS- the manager has asked me to clean up after Kid's Night, so if your kids make a mess, other than the usual craft table mess, such as on your table or floor, please do me a favor and make them pick it up or pick it up yourself! TIA!

Night before Christmas party!

I have sent out an email inquiring about the possiblilty of doing our annual cupcake and cookie decorating night, the kids were PJs, we have the decorating, a simple craft and tehn we do stories and maybe evena song or two.
Stay tuned for details, as i will make a list and post if so we can coordinate!

If you haven't seen the new movie Kubo and the 2 Strings, I highly recommend it, but be prepared, it deals with life and death in a sometimes sad, sometimes scary manner, but it is a terrific story.
A major part of the movie involves origami, so this week we'll be trying our hand at some simple and some not so simple paper folding projects, including this:

PS- I have begun taking pictures with my new phone, which has an incredible camera on it. But unlike my big DSLR, i can't just download the pics to dated folders easily. So i have fallen behind on putting pictures up on my photobucket albums, although i do tend to post them quickly on Facebook. So hang in there, i'll get to them!

We're back!

After a week off (how did you survive?) we're back next week with bugs and flowers for Spring. Although the way things are going, maybe we'll do snowmen!
Don't forget, I'll be at the 3rd annual Herring Run Festival at Middleboro Oliver Mill park Saturday and Sunday (4/9 & 4/10) from 10-4, doing face painting, twisty balloons and glitter tattoos! Please stop by and say hi!

April schedule and more ...

This week (March 29th), we will make a little magic! Kids can try and learn a trick or two to fool their friends and family! Also some easy egg crafts for the little ones!

The April schedule is up! Please note there will be NO Kid's Night next week (April 5th) I have a special birthday to attend to!

Also note the date and place of the 3rd annual Herring Run Festival, where I will be doing face painting, twisty balloons and glitter tattoos! April 9&10 at the Oliver Mill / Herring Run site! Hope to see you there!

Egg hunt and more!

Twisty Balloons, Egg hunt and pictures!

Just a few reminders,

This Saturday (3/19) from 3-6 I will be helping Honorary Mayor nominee Pat Bettencourt at Friendlys  doing FREE Twisty Balloons!  Contact me for details and see me first for a flier which gives 20% of your purchase at Friendlys to the Friends of Middleboro Cemeteries group.

Annual Lucky Egg Hunt coming up next week (3/22) Unlike traditional hunts, this is a Lucky Egg Hunt! You come anytime between 5-8, and when you're ready, come see me for your Lucky Egg number. Then you go searching for that egg among the dozens and dozens of eggs that will be spread around the store. When you find yours, bring it back to me to turn in for a small bag of candy! (One bag per child please) Then you can either do the hunt over again, just for fun (and many do!) or work on some Easter crafts! It will be busy, so plan accordingly (maybe order food ahead or come early?)

Lastly, I have several weeks of Kid's Night pictures to edit and upload and send you the links, but they are coming! Been swamped with Birthdays By Mike parties and events!
