OMG, To all of those who helped THANK YOU! Of course it was busy night, as expected for mini pizza night, but everyone came at once it seemed! There were way too many of you who helped for me to list, but please know I really appreciated it. It save my leg a lot of walking.
We had around 45 kids, and quite a few were new families, so your help made their first visit a good one. (Mini pizza night is crazy one for your fist time)
Hope to see some of you at Krazy Days!
Next week, it's back to games for us! We'll be playing all night long!
Welcome to the new Kid's Night blog!
While I have mainly transferred updating and pictures to our Facebook page, you can still find older picture links here, as well as new posts.

Mini Pizzas and Krazy Days ahead!
This week (July 31st) at Kid's Night, we'll have our annual "Make Your Own Mini Pizza" night! Each child will get to pull and stretch the dough, forming it into something resembling a circle. Then they learn how to put sauce and cheese on it ,and then I take it and put it in the oven, and if all goes well, they'll have a yummy mini pizza to eat or take home! (One per child please, and yes it is still free!)
There will be do-it-yourself crafts to keep busy while they wait, as I am usually busy all night long just helping with the pizza making.
If you've been waiting for the games to return, then the following week is your night. On August 7th, we will have a night dedicated to games of all types!
On Friday and Saturday, August 3rd & 4th, I will be at the Middleboro Krazy Days (See this weeks Middleboro Gazette for more info) doing balloon creations and painting faces (both for a fee). This is my first time doing something like this, so wish me luck, and if you happen to be there, stop by to say "Hi"! (I will be in the kid's activities area by the library) I am paying for a space, and hope to get my "Birthdays by Mike" business name out there, but I also want to see if this is something I could do more often to help pay the bills, so please spread the word and hope to see you there!

BIig THANKS, Pet rocks painting and more to come!
Thanks to all who showed up at the MHA Ice Cream Social fundraiser! It was so nice to see so many of you! And a BIG THANKS to my Kid's Night helpers: Marissa, Molly, Josh, Tony and Lynn, and my wife and son and Lamoureux family!
This week (7/24) we'll be painting rocks to make Pet Rocks, so bring in your own, or choose one of ours. (NO boulders please, smaller than a baseball would be nice). If you have a really small rock we can try and make a necklace out of it. We will be using acrylic (not so washable) paints, so be dressed appropriately.. There will be washable paint projects as well, and smocks will be available.
The following week(7/31) is "Make you own mini pizza night", so plan accordingly.!
Coming August 3rd & 4th (Friday and Saturday) is our local sidewalk sale/activity days called Krazy Days! There will be local vendors, businesses and groups with booths, activities for the kids, music, entertainment, food and more. I will be renting a spot there as well, where I will be doing fancy face paiintng and twisty balloons, for a small charge, and I will have some easy crafts for the kids to do as well for an even smaller charge. This is my first time doing this type of thing, and I'd appreciate any support and patronage, as well as spreading the word.. Thanks in advance!

More summer camp crafts tonight, Ice Cream Sundaes this Sunday
Join us as we make more summer camp style crafts tonight, including a big God's Eye with real sticks and a name sign made with sticks and pasta!
Also don't forget the Ice Cream Sundae Social this Sunday (7/22) from 2-4 at the MHA Museum grounds downtown next to the Pierce Playground. Free twisty balloons (by me), face painting, games and entertainment for the kids. And of course cream sundaes! ($6/adults, $3/Children, free 4 & under)
And if you have a big Katy Perry fan in your mist, I highly recommend her movie "Part of me". (saw it with my 12 yr old niece) Only one song ("Peacock") that they play that has a double meaning, and one costume with interesting add-ons, but it is Katy Perry. Overall a great documentary and fine for older kids.
