2013 Message

In case you're not on my Kid's Night family list, here is the latest message I sent:

Dear Kid's Night families,

First off, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped at the Christmas Eve party. We had over 30 kids decorating cookies and cupcakes, making crafts and trying to sit for few stories. We didn't get to singing, but I know I'm going to change a few things for next time so we have a little singing, and maybe even some games.

Second, yes Virginia, there will be a Kid's Night on New Year's Day. For all those kids who keep asking, "can we play games?", this is the night! Board games, a few new table top games, and of course some of our old favorites. Just a sit back and have fun night! Hope to see you there!

A couple of important New Year reminders: (especially the last one)
With bad weather possible, its always best to check the website before you come. If there's  a chance I might have to cancel, that's where I'll post it first.

Sharing is caring, except if your kids are sick! (That's right, I did go there!) Please, if they are sick, keep them home! Thanks.

We seem to be filling up the parent seating out back quickly each week, so if you have bigger ones who are self sufficient, and you want a little peace and quiet, feel free to sit in the dining area. I do ask that if you have little ones who need assistance and supervision, please try to stay out back with them.

Lastly, I am getting ready to print new Birthday brochures for 2013. Unfortunately, i have decided I need to go up a little on the prices. I am spending a lot more time researching, preparing and setting up as the parties get more elaborate. I think the end result is better, but the time I spend on one party is quite extensive.

The good news is if you are getting this email, you have a chance to get in on the 2012 prices. If you were considering booking me for a party in the upcoming months, even if its a ways away, just let me know by New Years Day, You don't have to pick a date right now, we'll wait till we get there then we'll use the prices in my current brochure.  Just FYI - I already have bookings in january, march and possibly April, and i can only book a few parties per month, so don't put it off till it's too late!

THANK YOU!

I can't say thanks enough for all the help and donations to our Christmas Eve party. We had over 30 kids throughout the night,and with a few minor adjustments, the night went great! I will definitely change a few things for next time we do something like that, including how and when we do the stories, but all in all I think it went fine, and I hope everyone had a fun time. Pictures soon to be posted!

Next up: Christmas Eve at Kid's Night party December 18th!

After a very busy very messy paint night this past week, we set our sights on the Christmas Eve at Kid's Night party, coming up on December 18 from 5-8pm!

Here's the game plan:
Kids are welcome to wear their PJ's and bring a stuffed friend for the evening. They should have footwear.


I will have lots of easy, do-it-your self crafts ready to go at 5ish. This should keep the kids busy while we set up the decorating station, and will give people time to arrive and get settled.
Around 6 we will start the decorating. (earlier if we're ready)
Sometime around 7, we will go out in the dining area and have s a few games, sing a few carols and have some stories. If time allows and the kids are up to it, we may go next door to a store or two to sing Christmas carols, but we'll play that by ear.
Hope to finish up everything around 8 o'clock

If you still would like to help and bring something, feel free to contact me. If by chance you are bringing a large contingent of kids, please let me know so we have enough cupcakes and cookies!

Paint night this week, and help for the party the follwoing week

A reminder this week (Dec 11th) will be a paint night so dress accordingly. We will be making card and gifts, so if you brinbg in a photo we can turn it into something special.
